God is so good! The sun is shining, the sky is blue, white fluffy clouds dot the heavens.
Friday night, I heard a loud thought, WRITE! I wish I’d gotten out of bed, because it disrupted my sleep anyway. So, after morning routines and a list of to-do’s in my planner, I began writing.
I keep thinking of Scripture I want to memorize. I tried to memorize (Psalm 23, NASB), but the words are enough different that I gave up.
Here is the King James Version that I will commit to memory, please Lord, with Your help: 1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
(Psalm 23:1-2, NASB) says: “The LORD is my shepherd, I will not be in need. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.”
The rest of the Psalm is pretty much the same as the KJV without the “thou art and thy and words ending in eth.”
As I’ve read the Bible over the years, I’m aware of prophecies foretelling the second coming of Christ. The first time, He came like a Lamb. The second time He’s coming like a Lion.
He comes back after many people turn to Jesus Christ for salvation—the way to heaven: Psalm 22:27, Isaiah 49:6, John 14:6, John 3:16-17. (Jesus told people to believe and repent and receive the free gift of salvation.)
It’s also prophesied that many believers will turn to apostasy, deciding to turn away from God and their previous trust in the Bible: 2 Thes. 2:3.
Knowledge will increase: Daniel 12:4.
People will go to and fro over the earth: Daniel 12:4.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 tells of the last days and difficult times.
The gospel will be preached to every tribe and nation: Matt. 24:14.
Jewish people will accept Jesus as their Messiah, Yeshua: Romans 11:25-27, Is. 61:8-9.
There will be war and rumors of wars: Mk. 13:7-8, Luke 21:10.
Mankind’s love for others will grow cold: Matt. 24:12.
There will be earthquakes and famines and plagues, etc., that signify precursors to end times: Matt. 24:5-8, Luke 21:11, and Mk. 13:8.
The return of Christ is foretold in Luke 21:25-28, with signs in the sun and moon and stars. People will be afraid.
In 2 Thes. 2:1-8, the Apostle Paul mentions the man of lawlessness first appearing and God removing him as the Lord Jesus comes back to earth.
2 Tim. 3:16 tells of Scripture being inspired of God and extremely helpful for life. After all these facts, I hope you’ll take heed. Consider Jesus’s Words to come to Him for salvation and to avoid a terrible eternity, and to act on it now.
Plus, being here with the anti-Christ will be worse than anything mankind has ever endured. First, he deceives people and then, there are three and a half years of peace and plenty. Things turn bad after that happens.
May God bless you with the power of His Word.
